The cover photograph is view of the entrance to the
new Science Court taken from the Science Quad in front of the Thompson Physics
Laboratories. The Science Court serves as the main entrance to the Schow
Science Library and the entire Science Center complex. It has seen extensive
use for receptions and scientific poster sessions throughout its first
year.
The Science Executive Committee wishes to express its
gratitude to the extensive efforts of all the science departmental executive
assistants in preparing contributions for this publication, and to Kate Fletcher
for assembling this material in its final form.
