I plan to major in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry (on the premed track). I also hope to study Spanish. I enjoy skating and dancing. On campus, I participate in Matriculate, RASAN, and work in a Chemistry lab. I hope to be a helpful mentor so please reach out to me if you have any questions!

Photo of Laurel

Hello! My name is Laurel Swanson (She/her/hers), and I am a rising sophomore from a small town in southern Maine. I grew up with two older brothers, a niece and many dogs (that I love to talk about!). On campus I am a member of the Aristocows (the Disney themed a cappella group on campus), Matriculate, and a group called Stucho (student choreograohers). I am a prospective chemistry major (but I am also considering biology) and am on the pre-med track. I also work in the biochem lab of SSP’s very own Professor Gehring! I am so excited to meet all of this year's wonderful SSPers, so please feel free to reach out with any questions about SSP, Williams, or the first year experience in general!
